Exploring, Creating and Learning together at Granville  

Granville Plus Nursery School is currently undergoing exciting building works which, once completed, will further enhance our provision with new spaces and resources for children and families. In the meantime, our two-year -old provision and nursery classes are learning together in a shared environment. This has many benefits in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS): younger children learn by watching and imitating older children, while older children develop confidence, independence and empathy by supporting the younger ones. At times, our babies also join in and experience this provision, fully supported by their familiar adult. 

Staff plan experiences carefully to meet the needs of each age group, ensuring that all children continue to thrive, build strong social skills and make progress.

Learning Through Play

We know that PLAY is how children learn BEST. Through play, children make friends, learn to share and take turns, building confidence, and discover new ideas. They explore, problem-solve, and use their imagination, all while developing key skills for life and future learning.

PLAY really is children's work - and it is how they LEARN, GROWN AND THRIVE.
